Ambulatory Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

The Division of Ambulatory Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, the largest clinical division in the Department of Pediatrics, is composed of a group of dedicated, committed faculty members. The division has some of the most effective and acclaimed teachers in the department.

We provide the highest quality care for inpatients and outpatients, and are responsible for large inpatient wards with high occupancy rates. We provide clinical and didactic teaching to residents and medical students in the inpatient and outpatient facilities we cover.

The division has a large and increasing number of funded research grants, program grants, and contracts, as well as a growing number of abstracts accepted for presentation at national meetings. The division serves children and adolescents in various institutional settings (hospitals, schools, and detention facilities), and in their own communities. We care for HIV-infected youth and provide medical leadership for the hospital’s Child Protection Team.
